JACKSON (Friday, March 9, 2007) – A reminder to the news media: The 2007 Democratic Elected Officials Appreciation Dinner is 7 p.m. tonight at the Greater Mt. Calvary Family Life Center, 1400 Robinson Road in Jackson.

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, chair of the Democratic Governors Association, will be the guest speaker. Sebelius, in her second term as governor, is expected to talk about Mississippi’s 2007 statewide elections.

Many Democratic Party candidates in this year’s state, state district and legislative elections – including those running for governor, lieutenant governor and other statewide posts – are expected to attend the dinner and will be available for interviews.
