The nomination of President Barack Obama for a second term will be the highlight of our Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The convention will be held September 2-9.  In order to become a delegate to the national convention from Mississippi, you must file a statement of candidacy for delegate with the state Democratic Party.

Deadlines to file candidacy are:

1st Congressional District:  March 5, 2012

2nd Congressional District:  March 26, 2012

3rd Congressional District:  April 9, 2012

4th Congressional District:  April 23, 2012

At Large:  May 3, 2012
